Emergency Shelter Services

TFH is also an Emergency Warming shelter during the winter months when temperatures reach 33 degrees wind chill. On these extremely cold nights, we save lives by providing a warm, safe place for the homeless to sleep, escape the harsh elements and prevent hypothermia.

During the summer months, we serve as a Cooling Center when temperatures reach 95 degrees. Our doors our open to those that do not have AC or live unsheltered. We want to prevent heat exhaustion and heat stroke for our neighbors by offering a cool place to rest and receive light refreshments. We also are a refuge from days of smoke effecting the air quality. When needed, guests can come in and stay out of the dangers of smoke inhalation.
