We are so very glad to be available to those in need. We have seen many difficult situations and many promising ones all mixed together this week. We have been open as an emergency warming shelter this week due to freezing and unsafe temperatures for those living unsheltered. We are very limited in the number we are able to have have sleep overnight, due to COVID guidelines; however, we have been able to place over 7 guests into hotel rooms and 2 guests at Bybee Lakes Hope Center reentry program. We have also been able to shelter 13 in our overnight emergency warming shelter each night.
We have also helped some with fleeing domestic violence. Some became homeless because of fleeing and some are fleeing domestic violence while they are homeless. All are receiving services of compassion and dignity. All are staying safe and warm. All are being loved and cared for.
