About Us

The Father’s Heart Street Ministry is a Resource Center at 603 12th Street in Oregon City. Our goal is to help men and women find a safe refuge from homelessness, hunger and addiction. We are a faith based organization founded in 1999 that provides daily services and meals to men and women.

Recent discussions of The Father’s Heart Street Ministry’s religious affiliations has come up, we want to take the opportunity to relay our core mission to our community. TFH is rooted in a religious foundation, we are not aligned with any one denomination. Our ministry was built on, and continues to offer, unwavering love and support to those who enter our doors.

We welcome all individuals in need. Services are provided and never withheld based upon religious opinions or beliefs. Each of us – staff, volunteers, and clients – enter our space through various walks of life – and we respect each individual for their true authentic self. We believe that person centered care is comprised of physical, mental, and spiritual support.

We understand that may look different to every person. As a direct service provider and also a ministry, we not only honor that but celebrate it. TFH is a safe and welcoming space, and we feel honored to serve our community.

Our Loving Founder

Teri Gant (1948 - 2017), Founder

Teri Gant founded The Father’s Heart Street Ministry in 1999.

With the compassion and love Teri wanted everyone she met to know that God thought they were amazing and His love for them ran deeper than anything they could ever imagine.

She was especially drawn to those that were living on the streets; the forgotten, the invisible, those lost without hope. She saw others with the eyes of Jesus.  She listened with the ears of Jesus. She embraced all with the loving arms of Jesus.
